Thanks for your suggestions. I only use Firefox and always use the most updated version. As far as updates go, I do not do Microsoft updates, as I always thought they slowed the machine down over time. To my knowledge there have been no new updates installed as for windows and all the browsers are the latest up-to-date versions.

Are you sure that "no new updates" includes all those players? I've scanned for hardware abnormalities but none in Device Manager. I can't install Bluestacks on my laptop I keep getting the error that says it doesn't recognize my graphics card and I may need to update it..I think my graphics card You might want to remove it or check for a update.
