Computer Freezes With Anything To Do With .AVI Files
I'm using VLC media player and I can play other avi files with no problem. The only thing i haven't tried is a new cpu and/or hard drive (10gb fujitsu with win xp home installed). You might have succeeded in deleting the avi file but the fault may be elsewhere. Recently moved them over to this brand new drive and still the same problem presents itself. But, there are certain issues related to AVI file format due to which the video stops playing and lead to severe disasters. total system lockup cant do anything but restart. Also all of my games stopped working.
