Is there a utility out there that will do the job? Is it because Lunix does not have DOS? Then I tried the Boot CD for Windows XP - FIXMBR. When I rebooted I still got that stupid Linspire boot up screen. weblink
I tried a Win XP and set the bios to boot onCD Rom first. My computer has no installed floppy drive, but I do have a USB floppy drive and it is set to boot-up floppy first. Glad to see the first suggestion is not "fdisk".lol. Harper 2004-05-23 10:28:59 UTC Rick T 2004-05-23 17:09:30 UTC Richard G.

I'm really not qualified torate or have a say about Linspire, but to be honest... http://itsyourpc.org Microsoft blew its right foot off with Windows 8. For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. Then use FDISK and FORMAT to create a FAT32 partition in the normal way -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2004, Win9x) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/millsrpch.htm Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post

I just sets there for 1/2 hour and does nothing. It sees the CD player and accesses the XP CD and says it issomething about scanning the hard drive to see if it can install. Can lilo boot xp ??? check over here Sure, youcan install anything you want for free if you can find it elsewhere butinstalling a program on almost any Linux OS is not a game for thefaint-hearted.
I couldn't boot XP as a result (got no OS error) which, sadly, was the most promising result I had to date. It does andit accesses the floppy, but then it just goes ahead and boots up toLinspirePost by DickOS, like it ignores the floppy. I want to reinstall Win ME, but Linspire OS will not let me use the Boot Disk for Win ME. This video is a short introduction to PRTG, as an initial overview or as a quick start for new PRTG users. Then VERY IMPORTANT run /sbin/lilo so that the change goes into effect. http://renoscanner.com/how-to/how-to-uninstall-a-program-windows-10.html the only Linux Dist to give me problems with the MBR has been FC2.
