I don't have anti-virus scan at startup and I do my backups manually.

Recently got it back from sager - had to be sent in for repairs because it was shutting down by itself by instantly turning off. Now, it's time to do the same for electronics. Most recently I updated to Chrome 41. Memtest I have run Malwarebytes, Adw cleaner, scandisk/checkdisk and defrag and found everything OK.

I don't have ability to set up via USB enclosure atm either so can't really test that way. I have experienced with Western Digital HDDs, India, WD is the worst HDD, though the warranty services are very good.
